Amazon Prime

There’s no better time to shop on Amazon than Prime Day. What is Amazon Prime, and what benefits can you get with it?

The American company Amazon, long backed by one of the world’s richest men, Jeff Bezos, still holds its place among e-commerce companies. It boasts more than 197 million customers a month and a further 200 million members of its Amazon Prime loyalty programme.

Despite the name, Prime Day actually lasts two days.

The latter is very popular not only in the US but also in other countries around the world. Why? Because in addition to free shipping on almost all goods, they can enjoy other services, including streaming services, premium discounts, and merchandise or video games.

Hundreds of movies and TV shows at your fingertips

On Amazon, you can get free shipping and bargain shopping on goods that are normally unavailable to you. Amazon Prime will also offer you a wide range of its own movies and TV shows. Amazon has been trying to compete with leading streaming services such as Netflix, Apple TV and Disney+ for several years.
The result is its own Amazon Prime Videos platform, where it places movies and series not only from its own production. One of the most anticipated works, for example, is the series from the world of Lord of the Rings, which millions of fans around the world can’t wait to watch.
But Amazon Prime isn’t free – like most services, it works on a subscription basis, which can be either monthly or yearly. The former is priced at $14.99 per month and the latter at $139.99 per year. You can also take advantage of a 30-day trial period where all services are provided for free – if you don’t like it, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
